How can I schedule a campaign for a later time?
Schedule a Campaign
Instead of sending a campaign instantly, you can schedule it for a specific date and time. This helps you align delivery with customer behavior (e.g., working hours, promotions, events) and ensures better engagement without manual effort.
⚡ Send Now vs. Schedule for Later
Option | When to Use | Benefit | Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
Send Now | Urgent alerts, last-minute updates | Immediate delivery | No control over timing |
Schedule Later | Campaigns tied to events, regional timings | Optimized engagement, hands-free send | Requires advance planning |
🧭 Steps to Schedule a Campaign
- Create your campaign → Fill in required fields (template, audience, etc.).
- Proceed to Review & Schedule.
- Under "When should we send this campaign?", choose Later (instead of Send Now).
- Pick a date and time → Select from the calendar and time picker.
- Click Schedule Campaign to confirm.
✅ What Happens After Scheduling
- A success message will confirm the scheduled time (e.g., "Campaign ‘Summer Promo’ is scheduled to send on July 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM.").
- The campaign appears in the Campaign Listing Page with status Scheduled.
- You can cancel up to 5 minutes before the scheduled send.
⚠️ Edge Cases & Limits
- You cannot pick a past time/date (button disabled).
- Campaigns set within 5 minutes may run immediately.
- Scheduling uses your account’s default timezone — verify if operating across regions.
💡 Best Practices
- Test first → Run a small batch immediately, then schedule the main campaign.
- Plan timezone-friendly sends → Avoid late nights or off-hours for your audience.
- Always re-check credits → Ensure you have enough balance before the scheduled time.
- Name clearly → Use descriptive names (e.g.,
July_Renewal_Batch1) for easy tracking.
