How do I install and use the MyOperator Chrome Extension for click-to-call and live call notifications?

⚡ Quick answer — Install “MyOperator — Click to Call” from the Chrome Web Store, sign in with your MyOperator credentials, and you can:

  • Click any detected phone number on a webpage to place a Webcall
  • Receive real-time pop-up notifications for incoming calls in Chrome

When should I use this guide?

Use these steps when you:

  • Need single-click calling inside a CRM or any website
  • Don’t want to copy-paste numbers into a soft-phone
  • Rely on live browser notifications, so you never miss a lead
  • Work remotely and prefer web-based calling over a desk or mobile phone

1. Prerequisites & compatibility

  • Google Chrome v100+ (Edge Chromium supported)
  • Active internet + working microphone/headset
  • MyOperator account with Webcall or Click-to-Call permission
  • Outgoing calls to Indian numbers only (+91) unless you have an international account

  1. Click the MyOperator icon in the toolbar

  1. When Chrome asks for microphone access, click Allow

Info Expected result: the extension badge turns green and shows “Signed in as <agent-name>”.

5. Auto-detect & click-to-call workflow

As soon as you’re signed in, the extension scans every webpage for phone numbers (6–15 digits) and appends a green phone icon.

Click the 📞 icon → a Webcall window opens with the number pre-filled.

6. Place outgoing calls

  1. Fastest — click any 📞 icon beside a detected number, or
  2. Click the extension icon → enter a phone number → CALL
  3. Review past notes in the Webcall panel → press Call
  4. Speak via your headset; the call routes through your assigned DID

Tip If you set a call-cancellation period (Section 8.3), a toast appears for 0–30 s so you can abort accidental dials.

7. Receive incoming calls

When someone dials your MyOperator number:

  • A Chrome notification pops up with the caller ID
  • Click Answer → a web-call window opens so you can pick up

Info Example: Chrome pop-up showing incoming call from 858-898-9990

8. Settings & Configuration

Open Chrome → click the turquoise MyOperator icon → Settings.

Info All options below work in real time—no browser restart required.

Setting

Default

Purpose

Flip-side / Limitation

Pause auto-detection

Off

Hide 📞 icons that the extension injects next to phone numbers.

If you pause detection, you must dial numbers manually in the Webcall window.

Default country code

+91

Prepends this code when you dial numbers that have no prefix.

Indian DIDs cannot place international calls; use an International account instead.

Call-cancellation period

0 s

“Undo” timer (0–30 s) before a click-to-call actually dials.

A value of 0 s means the call starts instantly—no safety net.

Live-call notification

On

Chrome pop-ups for every incoming call.

Turning it off may cause missed calls if the Webcall window is not open.

CRM link for customer history

https://app.myoperator.com/logs?search={{phone}}

Opens past call logs when you click inside Webcall.

Must contain the {{phone}} placeholder; otherwise, the link will not work.

Re-sync account

Pulls the latest agent permissions (Webcall ↔ Mobile) without reinstalling.

Use after an admin changes your access mode, or the extension may behave unpredictably.

8.1 Pause auto-detection of phone numbers

This group of toggles controls where the extension should stop or resume injecting the green phone icon.

How it works:

  • Disabled (default) ⇒ phone numbers are detected and a 📞 icon is added
  • Enabled ⇒ icons disappear; you must dial numbers manually

Info How to use “Pause for this URL” setting

8.2 Default country code of customer

  • Pre-set to +91 for Webcall India
  • Indian DIDs cannot make international outbound calls

Info Need to dial overseas numbers? Ask your admin to provision an International account.

8.3 Call-cancellation period

Allows you to abort an accidental click-to-call.

  1. Set a value between 0–30 seconds
  2. Click a 📞 icon beside any number; a toast countdown appears
  3. Click Cancel before the timer hits 0 to stop the call

Example: With 20 s selected, you have a 20-second grace period

Info Call cancellation period

8.4 Live-call notification

Keeps you informed even when the Webcall window is hidden.

  1. Prompt response — answer leads faster
  2. No missed calls — pop-ups appear above all tabs
  3. Enhanced productivity — you can work in other apps until a call arrives

Warning Disable only if you rely on another soft-phone or if Chrome notifications are muted by company policy.

Lets agents open past interactions for the current caller in one click.

Default template:

https://app.myoperator.com/logs?search={{phone}}

If {{phone}} is missing, the link will do nothing.

8.6 Re-sync account

Use Re-sync whenever an admin switches your access mode:

  1. Open Settings → click Re-sync
  2. Wait for the success toast (“Permissions updated”)
  3. Refresh any CRM tab to apply the new mode

9. When does the extension NOT work?

  • ❌ Extension is paused (plugin, domain, or URL)
  • ❌ You’re signed out / session expired
  • ❌ Browser mic permission is blocked
  • ❌ Admin revoked your Webcall or Click-to-Call right
  • ❌ Trying international calls from an Indian DID
  • ❌ Chrome Incognito without “Allow in Incognito” permission

10. Troubleshooting

Issue

Quick fix

No 📞 icons appear

Make sure the extension isn’t paused and you’re signed in

Icon click does nothing

Disable the pop-up blocker for *.myoperator.com

Can’t answer calls

Enable Live-call notification and allow Chrome notifications in the OS

Audio problems

Check mic in chrome://settings/content/microphone; use a wired headset

Wrong country code

Update the default country code to +91 or as needed
