What happens after I submit a template?
WhatsApp Template Review and Approval
Once you submit your WhatsApp template in MyOperator, it is automatically sent to Meta (formerly Facebook) for policy review and approval.
Review Timeline
- Meta typically responds within 5–20 minutes
- During peak periods, it may take slightly longer
Where to See the Status
- Go to the Templates section in MyOperator
- You’ll see one of the following statuses next to your template:
- Pending – Under review
- Approved – Ready to use
- Rejected – Not accepted (hover over for reason)
Meta May Recategorize Your Template
- Meta uses AI + human review to check that the content matches the selected category (Utility, Marketing, or Authentication)
- If your message includes promotional content but is submitted as Utility, it may be:
- Recategorized automatically
- Rejected for policy mismatch
What to Do If Rejected
- Click the status icon to view the rejection reason
- Edit the message to remove violations (e.g., incorrect category, unsupported formatting)
- Resubmit for review
