What happens after I submit a template?

WhatsApp Template Review and Approval


Once you submit your WhatsApp template in MyOperator, it is automatically sent to Meta (formerly Facebook) for policy review and approval.



Review Timeline


  • Meta typically responds within 5–20 minutes
  • During peak periods, it may take slightly longer



Where to See the Status


  • Go to the Templates section in MyOperator
  • You’ll see one of the following statuses next to your template:
  • Pending – Under review
  • Approved – Ready to use
  • Rejected – Not accepted (hover over for reason)



Meta May Recategorize Your Template


  • Meta uses AI + human review to check that the content matches the selected category (Utility, Marketing, or Authentication)
  • If your message includes promotional content but is submitted as Utility, it may be:
  • Recategorized automatically
  • Rejected for policy mismatch



What to Do If Rejected


  • Click the status icon to view the rejection reason
  • Edit the message to remove violations (e.g., incorrect category, unsupported formatting)
  • Resubmit for review
